It’s mid-July, and experts are predicting an extremely active 2025 Atlantic hurricane season. NOAA has forecasted 17 to 25 named storms, 8 to 13 hurricanes, and 4 to 7 major hurricanes this year.

That means one thing for independent adjusters: opportunity if you're prepared.

When storms hit, deployment requests can spike overnight. But only adjusters who have the right training, licenses, and systems in place will get the call… and stay deployed.

Here’s what you should be doing right now to get ahead of the wave:

✅ Make sure your licenses are active and up to date especially Florida, Texas, and Louisiana
✅ Get on rosters now not after the storm hits
✅ Review your file note and claim handling processes
✅ Stock up on gear, laptops, tools, and anything you'll need in the field
✅ Invest in training to sharpen your skills and increase your deployment odds

Most adjusters wait too long. They scramble when it's too late.
