In this email I'm going to give y'all a bird's eye view of how info products work

In this example you come up with an idea that you want to teach other people online, it could be anything

You write it down, record it and you put a link in your bio

Now we wait

Nothing happens, it's been a few days but things should pick up since you posted about it a couple times.

Repeat this cycle a few times and then you take the link down discouraged that no one wanted what wanted to teach.

This exact thing happened to me with my course The Roadmap to Becoming an Independent Adjuster

The course that thousands purchased was overlooked for months and months

Why?

I had only completed step 1

Creating a course is not enough

You have to get the word out and that's where understanding who you actually made your offer for.

You have to begin with the end in mind, and I see so many people who would be successful creating and selling an info product but they never put thought into who they'd be selling to.

Because of this they don't know how to create messaging for their intended audience, and because they don't know how to create messaging for their intended audience they end up talking to everyone.

and when you talk to everyone, you sell to no one and that equals zero money for you

You picking up what I'm putting down so far?

Good

That's the basics of marketing now let's move into the basics of product/service delivery

The name of the game is automation

If you plan on making any kind of course, PDF, webinar, video, E book etc etc

The delivery of your product MUST be automated

Why?

Imagine stopping what you're doing to personally email someone access to your course every time there was a new purchase, it would annoy you and your student/customer wouldn't it?

Sometimes if you were doing something else you'd probably forget or have some sort of delay because you weren't near your computer or phone wouldn't you. This would probably put added pressure on you day to day right?

Ask me how I know, it's because I already made that mistake.

If you plan to sell your info product to more than one person, automation is going to be tantamount to keeping any level of sanity.

I could go into deeper into the systems that are necessary for this automation but I don't even know if you've read this far or want to continue reading so I won't bore you with the details here but if you are interested I'd be happy to break it down for you on a call (schedule here)

I saved the most important thing for last

Customer support

This is exclusively what makes people think you are the real deal or if they trash your name as a scammer

Put your finger on the screen and read that again if you have to

I can't stress enough how important it is to respond to questions your students have in a timely manner, fix problems with your course, delivery systems, etc when necessary.

Trust me, I've seen people completely destroy their reputations because they wouldn't answer questions when their students needed, wouldn't refund ANYONE and overall were being buttholes to people who supported them.
